SIEA Green Enterprise RES and batteries

Subsidies

Green for Business is for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises that want to invest in renewable energy.

Allocation: €66.5 million

Amount of aid: Maximum EUR 50 000 per enterprise.

Aid intensity: a basic rate of 40 % of eligible expenditure, which may be increased to 45 % if the enterprise demonstrates that more than 80 % of the energy produced will be used for own consumption, at least half of which must be used on the enterprise.

Energy audit: an energy audit is required prior to application to identify the potential for energy savings and appropriate measures.

Support of 45 % of eligible expenditure is available for the audit.

Limits of installations:

  • For electricity, there is an installation limit of up to 250 kW.
  • There are no restrictions on the production of heat from RES.

Call timetable

  • April 2025: publication of the terms of the call.
  • End of April 2025: start of registration of applicants.
  • May 2025: Submission of applications and launch of individual allocations.
  • May – July 2025: Gradual opening of allocations by technology type and region.

Eligible applicants: micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), including sole traders, from all over Slovakia, with the exception of the agricultural sector.

  • Photovoltaic panels
  • Solar collectors
  • Heat pumps
  • Wind turbines
  • Energy storage devices – batteries
  • Intelligent control systems for energy production and consumption

Procedure for successful application to the Green Business Challenge 2025

STEP 1: Verification of eligibility

  • Are you a micro, small or medium-sized enterprise, a sole trader, or an energy company, for example?
  • Are you planning to install photovoltaics, heat pumps, collectors, wind turbines or a battery system?
  • Is your establishment not involved in prohibited sectors such as primary agricultural production?

STEP 2: Preparation of an energy audit

  • Contact a registered energy auditor. A list can be found at https://lnk.sk/aikp2
  • The audit must be carried out in accordance with the Green Business Challenge Guidelines. For exact instructions, please visit https://lnk.sk/gmnfv
  • The audit report must be part of the application.

STEP 3: Preparation of mandatory annexes to the application

  • Data set for RES monitoring
    • A simple form filled out in the light of the data must be from the energy audit.
  • Declaration on de minimis aid
    • This is a summary of all state aid that the business has received in the last 3 years (e.g. from Euro funds, SIEA, state agencies etc.)
    • The maximum limit is €300,000 over 3 years.

  • Affidavit
    • That you don't have foreclosures, illegal employment, banned from receiving subsidies, etc.

STEP 4: Applying for a voucher

  • According to the terms of the grantor, the form should be published on www.zelenapodnikom.sk on 28. 04. 2025.
  • Application deadlines: from 5 May 2025 to July 2025 (sequentially by technology type and region).
  • The application shall be accompanied by all the documents specified in the manual (audit, data file, affidavits, etc.).

STEP 5: Signing the contract and installing the equipment

  • Once approved, you will receive a draft voucher contract.
  • The contract shall be signed and delivered by mail or via the portal www.slovensko.sk.
  • You have 6 months from the effective date of the contract to install the equipment and apply for voucher reimbursement.

STEP 6: Choosing a supplier

  • Choose a professional company to provide installation according to the audit recommendations.
  • It is recommended to select a device from the list of verified devices The list can be found at https://lnk.sk/cjpez

STEP 7: Apply for voucher reimbursement

  • File within 6 months of the effective date of the contract.
  • Attach evidence of installation and functionality of the equipment (e.g. inspection reports, invoices, handover report) + photo documentation.
  • It must be clear that the equipment is serviceable.

STEP 8: Reimbursement of the voucher by SIEA

  • If the application is complete and everything is in order, SIEA will reimburse the value of the voucher (or an aliquot part thereof) to the account specified in the application.
  • Everything is governed by the terms and conditions set out in the General Terms and Conditions and the Contract.

STEP 9: Track, preserve and archive all documents

  • Keep all contracts, invoices, reports, inspection reports and correspondence with SIEA.
  • In the case of an audit or back verification, you must be able to prove all steps and expenses.
  • We recommend keeping a simple digital archive (e.g. a "Green Business 2025" folder on a PC or in the cloud).

  • Energy audit: 45 % support, max. € 2 500.
  • RES equipment + battery: 40 %-45 % support, max. € 50 000 (reduced by the amount of the audit).
